The Sing Off 11/7/2011

The Sing Off season is coming to an end and next week we will be watching the final five acapella groups perform; but before then, lets recap what happened last night!

I started the show a little late so I missed the first performances from Pentatonics and the Dartmouth Aires, but never fear! NBC is awesome and has made the full episode available online. So if you are like me and never seem to be on time, don't worry I gotcha covered!

Pentatonics took the stage first last night and they absolutely killed it with their performance of "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf. They always seem to deliver as they did again later in the show with their rendition of "Stuck Like Glue" by Sugarland.

Next to sing was the group AfroBlue and they sang "American Girl" by Tom Petty and later they sang "Need You Now" by Lady Antebellum. Their jazzy feel must work for the judges because they were saved from elimination against Delilah at the end of the show.

Delilah and Urban Method were the next two groups to appear on stage and the judges raved of their performances.

Vocal Point added to the show by singing "You Really Got Me" by Van Halen which had the audience, along with myself at home, dancing along with this energetic group of guys but may not have gotten the same reaction with "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts.

The Dartmouth Aires sang, "We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister and had everyone clapping along while adding their own brand of comedy to the mix which of the course the judges loved. They did this yet again when they sang, "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" by Big and Rich.

Delilah sang a heart wrenching version of "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry, yet sadly they were voted off last night but ended the show with a kick ass swan song by Destiny's Child and showed that like the song goes, they will survive!
